Cameras : As long as I remember I’ve been fascinated by cameras. From my first Kodak Instamatic which I took along on my grade six field trip to my first SLR which I bought when I was in high school. I remember reading camera magazines in class. This probably didn't do much for my grades but photograhy has stayed with ever since :-o. Now I am shooting fully digital with state of the art electronic cameras. I remember the first outing with a digital SLR. It was almost too good to be true. Gone were the hassles of film. I do like film but not the expense of it and digital is so much more flexible. This section of my web page I have also dedicated to some of the lenses I have been using. Do not downplay the importance of good lenses. Many photographers will focus solely on mega pixels and having the latest and greatest camera but without good lenses to go along with it may not make a big difference. Please check the lens galleries which mostly will give you an idea of the results and types of pictures you can get with a certain lens. I am often asked; What kind of camera are you using? When I went digital in the fall of 2002 it was clear to me that it had to be a Canon. My first SLR back in 1983 was a Canon AV-1. Since then I've used three other Canons, T90, A2 and EOS-1. I entered the digital world with the D60. I currently shoot with the 5D as my main camera and the 20D as a back up. In my galleries you'll see shots taken with the 20D mainly as the 5D is quite new as of May, 2007. You will also see shots taken with the D60 and for the Cross Country Skiing World Cup in 2005 a local photographer was kind enough to lend me the pro 1D Mark II.
